A Letter from our President (COVID-19)
Dear Friends of Pathways,
I hope that this message finds you well, and that you have sources of comfort and support during this extraordinary time of disruption and uncertainty. Pathways is deeply committed to fully living our mission throughout the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, and we are doing all that we can to care for our patients, families, volunteers, staff, and everyone in our community who is counting on us.
We are closely monitoring and responding to this constantly evolving situation as information comes in. Leadership is meeting daily, sometimes multiple times throughout the day, to ensure that we are acting on the latest information and guidance from the CDC, CMS, NHPCO, and other experts. For the most current advisories about COVID-19 please visit here.
I am writing with an urgent appeal to previous, current, and future donors: Pathways needs your support now more than ever to keep our high-risk patients and families safe and receiving the best care possible. Most importantly, we need your support to ensure that we do not lose momentum on our $8M capital campaign for the new Pathways Inpatient Care Center.
Although COVID-19 is certainly impacting our operations in many ways, at this time there is no indication that it will materially impact the construction timeline. We are still tentatively on track to break ground as soon as this fall, and our goal is to raise the majority of the necessary funds before the building is complete. We need your help to achieve that goal.
As our Director of Development Marsha Sesskin and I reach out to people regarding the campaign, many are saying that they prefer to postpone face-to-face conversations, and we certainly understand and respect that. The COVID-19 outbreak is likely to go on for weeks if not months. Rather than pausing our mission-critical capital campaign, please consider “virtual” conversations with us via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or even a simple phone call. You can also easily make donations online here.
On behalf of everyone at Pathways, please accept our gratitude for your continued support and our best wishes for health and serenity in the midst of this historic challenge.
Sincerely yours,
Nate Lamkin, President
