What to Expect

Patient Rooms
Each of the 12 rooms are large enough to accommodate groups of visitors and up to three family members who can choose to stay overnight. Bedbound patients will be able to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of their bed. In addition, two rooms are equipped with negative pressure ventilation, allowing for the safe care of patients with COVID-19 and other highly infectious illnesses.
Family and Visitors
Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day with patient or family consent. Visitors are not allowed to smoke or consume alcohol. Pets may visit with prior approval of care center staff. In addition, family conferences to discuss care and receive counseling are available from the Pathways Hospice Care Team. Should you desire to discuss patient care in greater detail, or other more complex medical or social issues please speak directly with your Pathways Staff Nurse or Care Center Manager.
Inpatient Care Center Staff
The PICC operates every day of the year and is staffed with Registered Nurses, Certified Nurse Aides and additional Hospice Care Center staff including social workers, counselors, Chaplains, music therapists and volunteers to meet patient and family needs as they arise. The Pathways medical team of physicians and nurse practitioners are available daily to provide expert medical care to relieve pain and suffering from difficult symptoms. The Pathways team collaborates directly with each patient’s Primary Care Physician to coordinate goals of care and transition out of the Care Center if their condition stabilizes.
