Pathways for Grief and Loss is offering the following Special Events.

Most of our sessions are now held in-person (note the description for each group). If COVID-19 cases increase, we will notify participants regarding updated precautions and guidelines. All are free to attend unless otherwise noted.

Grief Support Events Registration

Registration is required for all support groups and events. Please complete the registration form at the bottom of this page. Once you have submitted the form, a member of the Pathways Grief Support team will reach out to confirm your reservation. Pathways offers a variety of ongoing Grief Support Groups throughout the year. Use the button below to see our current offerings.

Kids, Horses & Healing

This group is therapeutic riding retreat for bereaved children and teens and is a collaboration between Pathways and the Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center in Loveland. Please call for more information. Scholarships are available and registration is required. Space is limited, please register early $80 per child

Fast Forward Documentary

Join us June 22nd from 6 – 8 pm at Pathways, 305 Carpenter Rd, Fort Collins, CO

Follow four millennials and their parents as they travel through time wearing an MIT-produced “aging empathy suit” and work with professional make-up artists to navigate the realizations, conversations and mindset required to age successfully.

Discussion after the film, light refreshments will be provided.

This FREE Community Event is sponsored by Sharing the Care Campaign of Northern Colorado and the rights to the documentary are provided in thanks to the Health District of Northern Larimer County. Mindful Moments

Join us for a compassionate and transformative group event where we explore the profound connection between mindfulness and the journey through grief. This event is designed to create a supportive space for individuals who are navigating the complex emotions of loss and seeking solace through mindfulness practices. Whether you’re navigating fresh grief or seeking ongoing support, please RSVP to secure your spot and join us in this collective journey toward mindfulness, healing, and hope.

Spring Explorations

Art making in the presence of others offers an opportunity to connect and explore loss within a community of fellow grievers. In each of these 4 art-based workshops for adults, participants will be invited to use a variety of art materials to express their unique experiences of grief and loss. Attendance of all 4 workshops and the exhibit opening is highly encouraged but not required.After the workshops conclude, you will have the option to take your art piece(s) home or to contribute them for display in our First Friday Art Show in May.

First Friday Art Show

Join us as we host a free exhibition of the artwork created through our Spring Explorations Workshops. The contributing artists and the public will have a place to connect and share about their art, experience of creating, and their loved ones.

Mother's Day
Remembrance Tea

Gather your photos and take time to pour a cup of tea and discuss your memories as you honor that special someone. Tea and light refreshments will be served. Please bring a favorite photo of your mother and special tea cup.

Father's Day
Remembrance Dinner

The Father’s Day Remembrance Dinner is set against a backdrop of gratitude and fond memories, it provides an opportunity for attendees to honor and celebrate the fathers who have left an indelible mark on our lives.

Summer Memorial and Butterfly Release

Do you have a loved one you’d like to honor? Join us at Pathways’ annual Summer Memorial and Butterfly Release and release a butterfly in their memory.

The memorial service includes music, a message from our hospice staff, and releasing butterflies in honor of lost loved ones. During the event, the names of loved ones being honored and remembered will be read just before the release of the butterflies. Following the service, there will be light refreshments and an opportunity for support and sharing.

Vision Mapping

This workshop, facilitated by art therapists, will help participants who may feel lost create a vision map to help guide them forward. This technique helps to focus on clarifying dreams, goals and hopes for the road ahead. All supplies are provided and participants are welcome to bring additional items to add to their vision boards.

Dia de los Muertos
Art Therapy Workshop

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is an important tradition in Hispanic culture and is celebrated worldwide on November 1st and 2nd. This holiday is dedicated to honoring the lives of those that have passed on. Pathways is offering an art-based workshop for individuals and families of all ages to experience this tradition. This workshop will include opportunities to create a variety of memorial items and decorative ofrendas (offerings), just in time for the holiday! Information on the history and traditions of Dia de los Muertos will be offered. Attendees are encouraged to bring a photograph.

Lights of Remembrance Virtual Memorial Service

This holiday season, we invite you to remember someone who has been special in your life and connect with others who are coping with loss by attending our virtual Lights of Remembrance Event.Join in the warmth of community online for readings, music, reading names and a candlelight ritual.

Education

Join us on Friday, April 22nd from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for a parent panel in a question and answer format. We will be discussing how grief affects children and will hear first hand from parents and children who have been through the grief process. Childcare will be provided.

Family
Meet and Greet

Notice: This event has been cancelled.

Join us for an opportunity for families with children to meet one another on Sunday, May 15th from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for a Family Gathering. This will provide children and families a chance to connect and discuss the ways in which grief has affected their lives. Pathways Grief and Loss Center will be open for touring . Information and registration for upcoming camps, groups and events will be available. Dinner will be provided.

HERO Camp

Pathways HERO Camp is a day for kids to unite with other kids that “GET IT”. The day includes art with a Disney artist, learning your HERO name, and lots of other fun. The camp is for all children ages 5-17 that have faced a serious illness and are independent. Registration is required. Please register early.

Camp HOPE

Pathways Camp HOPE is both fun and supportive. Kids will connect with other grieving kids, share their stories, and find support through exciting activities that will highlight their Strength, Courage, Bravery, and Kindness! Ages 6-15.
