Pathways is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Petersen as its new Director of Business Development. With more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, and relationship-driven growth, Petersen brings a unique blend of strategic insight, creative energy, and community-centered leadership to the Pathways team.

In her new role, Petersen will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of growth strategies for Pathways’ hospice and palliative care service lines. She will work closely with the leadership team to enhance community awareness, strengthen partnerships, and identify new opportunities for collaboration within the care continuum.

Petersen’s career spans a wide range of industries, from healthcare and education to media and technology. Most recently, she served as Associate Publisher and Director of Marketing & Sales for BizWest Media, where she led marketing and revenue strategies for one of Northern Colorado’s most trusted business publications. She has also founded and led her own communications consultancy, Bloomstruck LLC, and created platforms that blend storytelling, healing, and connection, including the “Think Out Loud With Me” podcast and the Healing-Curious Humans community.

“Natalie is a dynamic communicator and an authentic relationship-builder who leads with both heart and purpose,” said Evan Hyatt, President of Pathways. “Her experience connecting people and ideas, along with her deep commitment to mental health and community wellbeing, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide compassionate care and support through life’s most meaningful moments.”

Petersen’s professional background includes leadership roles in brand strategy, digital marketing, sales management, and public relations. She has developed and executed multi-channel campaigns, managed cross-functional teams, and cultivated partnerships across healthcare organizations, educational institutions, and media networks.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Petersen is a published author, event producer, and mental health advocate who has spent much of her career helping people and organizations tell their stories with authenticity and impact.

“I’m honored to join Pathways and contribute to an organization that touches so many lives with compassion, dignity, and grace,” Petersen said. “Pathways’ mission resonates deeply with me, and I’m excited to collaborate with this incredible team to expand awareness and strengthen relationships throughout Northern Colorado.”

With Petersen’s appointment, Pathways continues to boost its leadership team and reaffirm its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and heartfelt care for patients and families across the region.
