Announcing our New Inpatient Care Center and Capital Campaign!

by in Blog, News January 16, 2020

Our goal at Pathways is to always provide the most compassionate and comprehensive care for our patients. Over the last few years, we have seen a consistent, annual 10-15% increase in the number of patients needing our services. We currently have an excellent partnership at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland where we provide inpatient hospice care. This partnership has been invaluable; however, this space no longer meets the growing needs of our community. It’s evident that the time to build a new inpatient care center is now!

That being said, we are thrilled to announce that Pathways is in the advanced planning stages of building a new Inpatient Care Center! This facility will be adjacent to the Fort Collins campus at 305 Carpenter Road. The vision for the center is a comfortable, home-like environment with a stone façade and water elements inspired by the Rocky Mountains. Each of the 12 rooms will be designed to accommodate groups of visitors as well as family members who wish to stay overnight with a patient. There will be access to outdoor garden spaces where patients will be able to enjoy the views from the comfort of their bed. There will also be a chapel, a communal kitchen where families can prepare meals together, areas for quiet reflection, and walkways throughout the site blending indoor and outdoor spaces.

A project such as this of course requires the support of many to help fund the costs. Pathways has launched an $8 million capital campaign and is looking to those whose lives we have touched and those who believe in giving our community exceptional end-of-life care to make this project a reality.

There are many opportunities to contribute to this project, including various levels of naming rights and recognition. To view the different opportunities and to donate, please visit pathways-care.org/capitalcampaign.

For over 40 years, you have helped us build Pathways into what it is today. Thanks to your support, thousands of families have had Pathways to care for and support them through serious illness and loss. We hope you will continue to invest in our success as we begin the most important journey in Pathways’ history.
