Last week, we held our second-annual virtual town hall to connect with our supporters, provide a year-end update and discuss the progress of our new, 12-bed, stand-alone Inpatient Care Center.
Nate Lamkin, President of Pathways, spoke about the new Inpatient Care Center’s construction. He also shared some photos from the recent Stud Signing event, in which Pathways community members were able to share messages of love and support that will live on inside of the Inpatient Care Center for generations to come.
Dr. Michael Towbin, Medical Director Executive, discussed the unique challenges that come with providing high-quality hospice care in various settings. He also discussed the various levels of hospice care, and provided some insight into how the team explores different treatment options to make sure that all patients are as comfortable as possible.
Finally, Tammy Brannen, director of Pathways for Grief and Loss, shared some advice on how to cope with the collective grief and loss that we are currently experiencing. She shared some techniques that can be used to help manage grief when you are isolated from your loved ones, and shared some information about the virtual and in-person grief support events that Pathways offers. Together, these different tools constitute one small part of the community and support that Pathways offers.
