Eagle Scout Service Project
Have you seen the new benches outside the labyrinth recently? These were created with love by Andrew, a member of Boy Scout Troop 188.
As his Eagle Scout project, Andrew dedicated many months to building these beautiful benches for Pathways. The area has even been leveled and cleaned up so that they look great outside of our labyrinth.
Achieving the Eagle Scout rank is no small feat, and few Boy Scouts ever earn the title. Boy Scouts must earn 21 merit badges, serve at least 6 months in a leadership position, complete an Eagle service project, and attend a Scoutmaster conference and pass a board of review. Eagle Scouts are regarded as men of strong character, and we’re honored that Andrew chose Pathways as the beneficiary of his Eagle service project. The Labyrinth is one of several outdoor reflection areas at Pathways. Those who are grieving or coping with a life-limiting illness are invited to walk along the path, leave offerings, and reflect.
