Pathways Invites Community to Free End-of-Life Planning and Doula Support Education Event

Planning for the end of life can feel overwhelming, but thoughtful preparation can bring clarity, peace of mind and comfort to both individuals and their loved ones. Understanding available options, communicating personal wishes and knowing where to find support can make a meaningful difference during life's final chapter.

Pathways invites community members to attend Yours Alone: End-of-Life Planning & Doula Support, a free educational event exploring meaningful end-of-life choices and the additional support available to individuals and families navigating serious illness, dying, caregiving and the time following a death.

Led by Jennifer Hahnke of Yours Alone End of Life Planning & Doula Support, the presentation will introduce the role of an end-of-life doula and explain how non-medical support can complement hospice care. Through personalized guidance and compassionate presence, end-of-life doulas can help individuals and families navigate important conversations, decisions and experiences.

Topics will include:

  • Advance care and end-of-life planning
  • Bedside companionship and vigil support
  • Family caregiver support and respite
  • Education about the dying process and end-of-life options
  • Meaning-making conversations and after-death support

Whether you are beginning to think about your own end-of-life wishes, supporting a loved one or simply interested in learning more, this educational opportunity offers valuable information and an opportunity to better understand the resources available.
