Community, Collaboration, and a Shared Purpose for Better Health
Community. Collaboration. Shared purpose.
These ideas were at the heart of a recent gathering hosted by AIMS Community College, where community leaders and health care professionals came together for an important conversation about the future of health and access to care.
In this photo, Marianne Buss, Pathways Vice President of Clinical Services, looks on as Dr. Beth Longnecker, Founding Dean of the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, is introduced as the event’s keynote speaker.
Dr. Longnecker’s presentation, “Community: Leveraging Shared Purpose to Improve Health and Access to Care,” explored the importance of coming together around a common purpose to address the challenges affecting health and access to care in our communities.
Her presentation was proof positive of her commitment and capability as a thought leader and a meaningful contributor to the conversations shaping our region.
Her perspective serves as an important reminder that improving health is not the responsibility of any one organization or profession—it takes collaboration, shared vision and a willingness to work together.
At Pathways, we know that strong communities are essential to supporting people through every stage of life. Opportunities to connect with other leaders, exchange ideas and consider new approaches help strengthen the work we all do on behalf of the people and families we serve.
Thank you to AIMS Community College for hosting such an important gathering and creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue about the health and well-being of our region.
