Making a Difficult Time a Little Easier

For families facing serious illness and the end of life, there are few things more meaningful than knowing their loved one is receiving compassionate, expert care.

A recent message from a Pathways family beautifully illustrates the impact that care can have:

“The Pathways staff have made this difficult time so much easier. We cannot sufficiently express how grateful we are for the care given to our mom! In particular the palliative and hospice in-home care, and the inpatient care, we are so grateful. Can’t remember every name, but thank you Tyler, Emma, Sarah, Mercedes, and all of the other friendly staff. We are exceedingly grateful!”

These words are a meaningful reminder that the work of hospice and palliative care reaches far beyond clinical care.

When a family is navigating a serious illness, they may be experiencing uncertainty, sadness, stress and countless difficult decisions. Pathways is there to help ease that burden—to provide expert medical care, comfort and support while honoring what matters most to each patient and family.

Whether care is provided in the home or through inpatient services, our team members have the opportunity to make an extraordinary difference during an incredibly important time in a family’s life.

We are deeply grateful to this family for taking the time to share their experience, and especially grateful to Tyler, Emma, Sarah, Mercedes and all of the Pathways team members who helped make a difficult time a little easier.

Their compassion, presence and dedication are at the heart of what hospice and palliative care are all about.
