Honoring Lives Remembered at Our Annual Summer Memorial Service & Butterfly Release

This past Saturday, Pathways Hospice welcomed families, friends, staff, volunteers, and members of the community to our Annual Summer Memorial Service & Butterfly Release—a cherished tradition dedicated to honoring and remembering those who have passed.

The gathering provided a peaceful space for reflection, comfort, and connection. Through beautiful music, thoughtful messages from our hospice team, and the symbolic release of butterflies, attendees came together to celebrate lives well lived while finding support in one another's presence.

The butterfly release served as a touching reminder that while grief changes over time, the love we hold for those we've lost continues to endure. Watching hundreds of butterflies take flight created a meaningful moment of remembrance for families, each butterfly representing a treasured life and the lasting impact that person made on those around them.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a reception where they shared memories, offered encouragement, and connected with others who understand the journey of loss. These conversations and moments of togetherness are an important part of healing and reflect the compassionate community that surrounds hospice care.

At Pathways Hospice, we believe our commitment to families extends beyond end-of-life care. Through memorial services, grief support programs, and opportunities like our Annual Summer Memorial Service & Butterfly Release, we strive to provide comfort, hope, and connection for those navigating grief.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's memorial service so meaningful. It was an honor to remember your loved ones together.
