Pathways Hosts Sharing the Care Event Focused on Suicide Awareness

Pathways recently welcomed community members, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and advocates for a Sharing the Care Campaign of Northern Colorado event focused on suicide awareness.

The gathering provided an opportunity to learn, connect, and engage in meaningful conversations about one of the most important public health challenges facing our communities. By encouraging open dialogue and increasing awareness, events like these help reduce stigma surrounding mental health while equipping attendees with resources to recognize and respond when someone may be struggling.

Sharing the Care is a local grassroots coalition dedicated to transforming healthcare experiences through patient- and caregiver-driven support. The coalition works to strengthen relationships between patients, families, and healthcare professionals while promoting compassionate communication and advance care planning. Through education and collaboration, Sharing the Care helps ensure that care is centered on the needs and values of each individual.

Pathways is proud to support opportunities that bring people together to learn from one another and strengthen the network of care available throughout Northern Colorado.

We would also like to thank the Health District of Northern Larimer County for providing valuable resources and information to attendees. Their partnership helped ensure participants left with practical tools and connections to continue supporting mental health and suicide prevention efforts within our community.

At Pathways, we believe that compassionate care extends beyond the patients and families we serve. It includes fostering conversations that promote understanding, connection, and hope. We are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this event meaningful, and we look forward to continuing to partner with organizations that share our commitment to caring for our community.
