Pathways Recognized with 2026 BBB Torch Award for Ethics for Commitment to Community Trust

Pathways has been named a winner of the 2026 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics, presented by the Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming.

The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate outstanding integrity, transparency, and ethical leadership—values that are essential when serving individuals and families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

For Pathways, ethics are not just a principle—they are a promise to the community.

Honoring Ethical Leadership in Healthcare
Now in its 28th year, the Torch Awards program celebrates businesses and nonprofits that consistently operate with strong ethical standards and accountability.

Organizations are nominated by peers, colleagues, and customers who recognize their commitment to doing what is right for the people they serve. Ethics Scholar Interns from the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Wyoming help prepare application materials, and an independent panel of judges evaluates each nominee using rigorous criteria.

The awards program is part of the work of the BBB Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating businesses and consumers about ethical practices.

Why Ethics Matter in Community Care
For organizations like Pathways, ethical leadership directly affects the quality of care and support provided to the community.
Families depend on healthcare and nonprofit organizations to act with compassion, honesty, and transparency—especially during challenging life transitions. Ethical decision-making builds trust and ensures that patients, families, and community members receive care that prioritizes dignity and respect.

This recognition reflects the dedication of Pathways’ staff, volunteers, and leadership who work every day to uphold those values.

A Shared Achievement
Receiving the BBB Torch Award for Ethics is not just an organizational milestone—it is a reflection of the broader community that supports Pathways’ mission.

From healthcare professionals and volunteers to donors and community partners, many individuals contribute to creating a culture where ethical care and compassionate service come first.
