Volunteers Serving Those Who Served Us.
Pathways introduced the Honoring Veterans Program in 2011. This program is focused on providing respectful, compassionate care for veterans, recognition of their service and specialized support for their families. The Honoring Veterans Volunteer Program at Pathways offers many ways that community members can honor the service of our veterans at the end of life.
Veteran Companionship Volunteer – special training is provided to all volunteers who work directly with veteran patients and families on the unique needs of our military service men and women. Special care is given to assign veteran volunteers to serve veteran patients as this relationship can create a special bond.
Recognition Team – Pathways wants to ensure that our veterans get the recognition that they deserve for their service to our country. Towards this goal, the Recognition Team will distribute certificates and pins to all current veteran patients.
We are looking for Veterans to serve on our Recognition Team. If you are interested in serving as a Veteran Companionship Volunteer, please call the volunteer office for more details.
Thank you for your support!
